I’m a fan of the little I’ve watched of Marcus Freeman at Notre Dame. He is passionate and seems to get the best out of his players. He’s a good spokesperson for the University as well.
Hard to believe but yesterday’s Sugar Bowl victory was ND’s first major Bowl win in 31 years (Rose, Fiesta, Orange, Sugar, Cotton and BCS Championship). ND has typically looked slow and/or they have been pushed around on the big stage. The last 12 games they look like they have belonged and this is with a sub-par passing game.
The Cardinal can get better with better administrative and NIL support but to truly get back to relevance we need a game changer as a coach. Success at Stanford has always been on the back of great coaches ie Monty, Tara, Walsh and Harbaugh. Who could be our next Harbaugh/Freeman type?
