As I believe noted in a thread or two, Darnay Holmes' father's training center/7-on-7 team has organized a big Bay Area college swing for this weekend. 39 Southern California prospects are visiting Cal, San Jose State and Stanford.
Darnay Holmes was unable to make the trip - he has league finals for track. Darnay's father is a chaperone, so he'll be on campus for I believe the fourth or fifth time.
There really aren't going to be a ton of Stanford recruits out of the 39 kids on the list. For one, unlike the Junior Day visits, the visitor list is not filtered by academic qualification - so there are kids on here who just won't have the grades. Additionally, I don't know that there's a ton of Stanford-level talent. (I honestly had not heard of any of the visitors before receiving the list - some might just be regular students taking advantage of the opportunity to see some of these campuses.) But there are some underclassmen, so it's possible some will develop.
I will do a bit of digging to make sure I'm not missing anyone who could be on Stanford's radar, but as of first glance the only name that might be of some interest is a 2018 WR from St. John Bosco, Nikko Hall. No idea on grades or anything, but he's from a high school with several known Cardinal targets and he appears to be a talented player.
So, anyway, just wanted to pass that along - don't be surprised if some Stanford visit photos pop up on Twitter this weekend.
