You twenty-one new commits to Stanford's Class of 2019 made exceptionally wise decisions this month.
You may have focused on the next 4 or 5 years or you may have focused on the next 40 or 50. In either case, your extraordinary years at Stanford will benefit you throughout your life. Your parents and you will become part of the wonderful continuing Stanford family.
I recall when I had to make similar decisions. Where to go to college, grad school, and law school? The college decision was the best. To this day, my Stanford friends remain my very best friends (except for the wife I met at Yale Law School who occasionally happens to teach at Stanford Law School).
I recall my own parents helping me decide among colleges. "You will never have to explain," my mom said, "why you choose Stanford to anyone. You will have chosen the very best college."
