Attendance against UW: 44,589
I checked the numbers from 2011, we sold out every game except san jose state, which had 47,816, so 3k more than Friday's game against a top 10 team. While crowds should be better the next two weeks, we haven't had any sellouts yet. Our Venue is also a regular on "Empty Seats Galore" twitter:
What's going on here? It has to be more than losing a couple more games per year than we used to. Sustained success should produce team prestige, which should produce more fans. It's not happening with us.
Is "Intellectual Brutality" a dumb slogan-- alienates fans that didn't attend the school? Are ticket prices too expensive? Should Stanford alums have more kids and bring them to games?
