Adam Gorney has updates on two Stanford linebacker targets: Tackett Curtis and Siale Esera.
Read that here.
Curtis visited Stanford for the March Junior Day and Ohio State appears to be the front runner. But, Stanford is still recruiting him hard. As @SamuelMcF posted yesterday, Ron Gould was just in to see him. While he appears to be a bit of a long shot, important to note that the staff is still trying hard to pull him in. Especially since there wasn't any mention of Stanford in the article. I will admit though that just based on feel, Curtis does seem to be looking elsewhere, but still good to know the staff's current approach.
As for Esera, he visited during the April Junior Day. LDS kid out of Provo, so BYU obviously is on him hard. He seems more warm towards Stanford just based on messages I've had with him. BYU is definitely the front runner, but as I've said before, Stanford has a really good hit rate, maybe the best, of pulling LDS kids out of Utah for reasons I've already said: Strong LDS community both on and off the field and world class academics. So I would say Stanford's chances are better with Esera at the moment.
