To me, there are two distinct ways in which the 2025 season plays out.
Outcome #1: Stanford Football wins 5+ games and demonstrates meaningful improvement across the program. This also of course means we are stuck with Taylor into 2026.
Outcome #2: More of the same, the team struggles to be competitive, resulting in another 2-4 win season. Due to poor results, Coach Taylor is let go and Luck searches for his replacement.
We don't know which will happen, of course. The question is what do we WANT to happen?
Tough position, right? Each win is exciting until you realize it increases the chances of a longer Taylor tenure. I'd guess most of us just want to win games and worry about the rest later ... am I correct?
