With the Hattis commitment, I thought I'd take a look at how we've done in recent years with 3-star OLs. The answer is that we've done surprisingly well. (Of course Rivals was pretty stingy with the stars on a few of our recruits who were 4-stars elsewhere, like DeCastro and Yankey.) Of the 11 who have played (which excludes the two 2013 guys), 3 of them have been superstars (DeCastro, Martin and Yankey) and 3 others were 2nd team All Pac-12 (Danser, Wilkes and Fleming) - and thus 6 of the 11 are still on NFL rosters.

2008
David DeCastro - consensus All-American - 1st round pick of Steelers
Jonathan Martin - 2-time All-American - 2nd round pick of Dolphins

2009
Kevin Danser - 2nd team All Pac-12 - signed by Titans as undrafted free agent
Khalil Wilkes - 2nd team All Pac-12 - signed by Chargers as undrafted free agent

2010
Cameron Fleming - 2nd team All Pac-12 - 4th round draft pick of the Patriots -
Cole Underwood - no real impact
David Yankey - 2-time consensus All-American - 5th round pick of the Vikings

2011
Kevin Reihner - no real impact (transferred to Penn St. for his 5th year)

2012
Johnny Caspers - started 12 games last year as a redshirt sophomore

2013
Dave Bright - played in all 13 games last year (no starts)
Thomas Oser - medical retirement

2014
Jesse Burkett - redshirted
AT Hall - redshirted
