Stanford beat Georgia in the quarters 5-0 and will play in the semi's against Duke on Monday. UCLA plays #4 Georgia Tech at 4 PM. .The winner of this match faces the winner of #1 Vanderbilt and Florida State playing now.
The women's golf team got off to a horrible start in the first round. Shannon posted the lowest score for the team at 75!! The team shot a 308 and was in 16th place. Second round was much better, 17 strokes better than for the first round. They're sitting tied for 12th place, only 3 strokes out of 8th. Mika Liu triple bogeyed hole #17 otherwise the team would be tied for 8th. There are several teams with at least half of their rounds to go and they're putting up black numbers so Stanford could be in the top 8 by day's end.
The bad news is UCLA is leading the medal round and posted a -9 today. Four of their five broke par. Of course it's a different game during match play.
