I saw that there is a 2018 roster on the official site. I wanted to see if there are any insights on roster composition. I found that Denzel Franklin, Joe McGrath, Lane Veach, and Ryan Atkins are not listed. Still listed are Keller Chryst, Terrence Alexander, Jack Richardson (and the other walk-ons aside from McGrath and Atkins but Richardson is the one key for depth), Isaiah Brandt-Sims, and Brandon Fanaika. It would be most intriguing if Chryst were to return. I'd be thrilled for us but wondering what he's thinking in terms of his own career.
I also think earlier counts of scholarships in a previous thread (at least my count) were off by one because they included CJ Keller. I had forgotten that he never redshirted, so he's gone.
I count this as leaving us at 79 scholarship players if Hollifield doesn't matriculate. If Chryst, Brandt-Sims, Alexander, or Fanaika moved on it would be lower.
