Nobody seems to have posted a thread on this (maybe I missed it?). I watched the Real Sports segment on Friday night about the St. Brown brothers. Highly entertaining! I expected I was going to see the Ball’s part deaux (or Marv Marinovich). Really anything but. Yes, John Brown is a former Mr. Universe/Mr. World and he’s certainly a driven/outspoken parent, and the boys mother is probably every bit as driven (or more so) on academics. The thing came out of that story is these are good kids, who just happen to be uber achievers on the gridiron, weight room, classroom, or moms mandatory flash card sessions and who’s insisted they’re fluent in three languages. These also appear to be very good parents - just not ordinary. The story’s end also brought a tear to eye, because like John Brown my youngest is a senior in high school and all noise....laughing, arguing, joking, singing is soon going to be a thing of the past. Next phase in life I guess.
