Cameron Walker and Marcus Sheffield were very accomplished and productive players at the high school level, and it sounds like each is adjusting well and faring well in the workouts at Stanford, as expected.

Josh Sharma came in with a bit of a different pedigree than Walker and Sheffield. He was also a heavily recruited and highly ranked player, but he averaged only about 6 points and 4 rebounds a game last year, per MaxPreps. (He also dealt with a wrist injury at the beginning of the year.)

Well, word on the street is that Sharma has really opened eyes thus far in workouts. He's rebounding at a really high level, hitting the offensive boards hard, and has impressed with his rim protection. So it's obviously early - too early to make any sweeping conclusions - but I think the takeaway is that despite his senior year high school statistics, he's someone worth getting excited about. It will be interesting to see how all three of the freshmen (as well as the rest of the team) fares during the team's trip to Italy next month.

(Re: hoops recruiting - I will try to get in touch with Frank Jackson or his coach as well as Barret Benson, who took his official visit last month, ASAP.)
