Shaw referred to here as a "punting acolyte" in an article pointing out how no one in college football punts anymore because its a bad move.

This is kind of funny but more depressing. Punting strategy is one of those things that we all know Shaw will never really change, and it is materially hurting us. Can we overcome his poor punting strategy? Of course, yes. But it would be so much better to have a coach that didn't put us behind the eight ball with this sort of stuff. I honestly don't know that a coach with Shaw's current (and future) approach to punting can win a CFP championship - the margin is just so small for a non-Alabama program.
