A project I'm working on made me think of The Edge in Palo Alto. I knew it was no longer, but was curious what became of it. I found a story that said the owner converted it to a Jazz and Supper Club, but now I see that is closed too. I think the thing that made The Edge cool was that it twas 18+. I can't remember if served alcohol or not.
Do any of you know what if anything is happening there now? And, failing that, what bands or artists did you see there when it was The Edge? I know for a fact I saw the band Mother Hips there, but I can't recall if I saw any others.
Anyway, it seems pretty shortsighted to close that kind of a venue so close to a college campus.
