Europe boat-raced the US team today, 6.5 to 1.5. It may not technically be over; however, it basically is.
Moreover, my plans to watch a lot of Ryder Cup action this weekend just got put in the dumpster.
This one could be in the can, officially, early on Sunday (hope Team USA makes it to singles).
What a shame. This may be my favorite sporting event, and the "competition" didn't even get off the ground.
The lack of intestinal fortitude/clutchness on this US team, at least today, was shocking. And the Captain, Zach Johnson,
will undoubtedly take a lot of heat. But I don't know how a coach can test for guts/competitive fire in Team Golf play.
