Cory Booker has now set the record for longest Senate speech in history, exceeding 24 hours and 19 minutes.
He apparently has not taken a bathroom break or eaten anything since he started at 7pm ET on Monday. It's awesome that he has beaten Strom Thurmond's filibuster record to try stopping the Civil Rights Act from being passed.
It's quite inspiring to hear him and see what he is willing to do to stand up for the values that protect everyone in America.
I just heard him talk about how the administration is cutting post-doctorate education funding and how schools are unable to offer Ph.D opportunities. He said China once cut all funding to universities and fell behind. Now they are making massive investments into universities to gain the education edge on America.
