Stanford has offered OLB Chief Borders of Powder Springs, Georgia. (This was posted in the recruiting notes thread, but I wanted it in a separate post as well.)
He is committed to Florida but appears to be excited about the offer from Stanford in this unique video showing him react to getting it.
Stanford is not a contender for Quintin Somerville (who wants to play defensive end, anyway) and Dallas Turner is a long shot (Georgia, Clemson, Florida are top contenders). Chaz Chambliss committed to Georgia and didn't want to leave home, so an offer would have probably been pointless.
At The Opening a little more than a year ago he was measured to be 6-3, 211 pounds and clocked a 4.59 shuttle and jumped 27.9 inches on the vertical.
