Stanford's men's hoops team played the first game of its Italy trip yesterday and won easily. Probably hard to glean much insight considering the quality of opponent, but the Josh Sharma double double is in line with what we were hearing about his performance over summer. Dorian Pickens emerging as a reliable shooter and scorer would be provide a huge lift for the '15/'16 team - will be interesting to see if that continues.

Beyond that, Humphrey and Verhoeven didn't play and Stanford rotated liberally, as one might expect. I can't find a box score anywhere, but sounds like a balanced scoring effort. Will be interesting to see how everyone fares when the competition picks up as the trip progresses.

A few clips from the game can be found on the program's official Twitter page: https://twitter.com/stanfordbball

Feel free to update if you come across any news/tweets/video/etc... as the trip continues.
