After round 1, Maverick McNealy and Michael Thornbjornsen are tied at -8 and in the lead at the RSM Classic. Mav played the tougher course as the tournament is being played on two different courses for the first two rounds.
Patrick Rodgers is T6th- 3 shots back, Joseph Bramlett at T55th and Brandon Wu at T101st. Thornbjornsen is finally playing again after suffering a knee injury in October (sprained ligaments). Mav and Patrick are still gunning for their first tour win. This is Patrick's 10th season on the tour with over $15 M in tour winnings in 280 events. Maverick joined the tour in 2020 and has won almost $11M in 141 events. Maverick and Patrick are tied with Tiger with the most wins for the Men's Golf Team, although both took 4 years to do it while Tiger turned pro after his sophomore year.
Looks like Bramlett and B. Wu are going to be at the Q School to earn their 2025 card. Top 5 plus ties get full exemptions for the 2025 season and others based on finishing positions will get lower status on the PGA, Korn Ferry and Latin America tours.
Barclay Brown has been playing on the DP World Tour and missed the cut in all five of his starts this fall.

In the CME Group Tour Championship, Albane is T5th and Rose Zhang is T38th and Andrea Lee is T44th. Only the top 60 points leader are in the tour championship.
