We all remember the glory days. In truth they really weren't all that long ago. But as we continue to slog through 8 & 9 win seasons, the Luck & Hogan Eras seem further and further removed as we head into a future filled with much uncertainty. Recruiting has dipped a bit, our national perception has dropped considerably, and there appears to be an increasing level of frustration within the program. With the departures of Bryce Love, the majority of our receiving corps., 3/5 offensive lineman, and virtually the entire 2015 recruiting class, it appears we're in store for a rebuilding year in 2019. Beyond that, however, who's to say.

The good news is we still have a lot of talent in the pipeline and coaching continuity remains a hallmark of the program. But with the majority of our rivals rapidly improving around us (Washington, Oregon, Notre Dame, etc.), it's unclear whether we've stagnated as a program or have more promising years ahead. In considering all the what ifs, I can't help but wonder how long it might be until we see the next truly great season on the Farm. Although we only return 10 starters in 2019, we're in great shape to return the majority of our starters in 2020 (barring another mass exodus). And by 2021, we could have the experience and home slate necessary to potentially make a real run at things.

So what are everyone else's thoughts? Feel free to start by chiming in on the poll above.
