Good news and bad news. We're flying out for the SDSU and USC games. Mostly spend time around our old haunts in the Valley of the Moon.

Individual game tickets just went on sale. Wow. Things are expensive in California.

Lousy tickets for the USC game are $110. The best available are $160 on the sunny side. Nothing good available on the shady side.

SDSU is $30 to $70. This is for game on a Friday night when everyone will be fighting Labor Day traffic.

It winds up being more than $500 for Sandi and me to attend those two games. Now, in terms of what we'll spend on the overall vacation it isn't a big deal. But clearly, this is for the "haves". No working class folks wanted. And I'm betting there won't be 30,000 warm bodies in the stands for SDSU.

I'm not bringing this up because of my individual situation. I'm stoked. Not gonna fret about the ticket cost. But I worry about the larger implications. (Of course, if anyone has cheaper tickets they want to sell, I'll be happy to buy them. :) )
