Quick and dirty this week:
Rock Bridge beat Helias 52-28 behind 376 yards and 4 touchdowns from Nathaniel Peat. The touchdowns were 64, 25, 55, and 60 yards. All that and more in his highlights from the game:
Bishop O'Dowd dispatched Piedmont 37-7. Austin Jones had touchdown runs of 32, 1, and 82 yards. Here are those highlights and more (including two passes defended and a forced fumble on defense):
Francis Parker lost for the first time this season, 27-12 to Tri-City Christian. Ryan Sanborn completed 17 of 32 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown, rushed 8 times for 50 yards, and made 5 tackles but this game was most notable because he finally had to put in a lot of work on special teams. He had touchbacks on all three kickoffs, made a 47 yard field goal and, most interestingly for us, had 4 punts. The punts averaged only 34.3 yards but one was 51 yards and three of them were inside the 20, so it sounds like he did a good job situationally.
San Ramon Valley lost to California 21-17. Tristan Sinclair rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Highlights:
Bishop Gorman beat Sierra Vista 62-7. Here are a couple of offensive plays from previous games that Kelly recently uploaded:
Sandy Creek fell to Cartersville 7-0. Nicolas Toomer blocked a field goal.
Episcopal beat St. Alban's 32-7. Here are Salim Turner-Muhammad's punt returning and defensive highlights, including an interception:
Malvern Prep beat William Penn Charter 51-17. Here are three highlights of Jake Hornibrook run blocking:
Sidwell Friends lost to Paul VI 42-6. Here are two minutes of highlights of Walter Rouse from the previous week's blowout loss:
Crandall (Branson Bragg) beat Mabank 42-14.
Trinity (Stephen Herron Jr.) continued to take out aggression on Louisville opponents, winning the latest game against Seneca 63-0.
As mentioned, St. John Bosco handled Mater Dei 41-18 after the lightning postponement. No evidence of a significant game for Colby Bowman.
Oaks Christian beat St. Bonaventure 44-0. No evidence of a significant game for Bryce Farrell.
Eaglecrest (Barrett Miller) lost to Cherry Creek 14-13, Eaglecrest's first loss of the season and first regular season loss since 2015.
Saint Francis (Joshua Pakola) shut out Sacred Heart Cathedral 14-0.
