After having gone to the Baseball game on Friday and Basketball game last night I have a couple thoughts on the Fan Experience

I'll preface by saying that I had a very nice time at both, which was helped by both teams winning their games and Friday afternoon being incredible weather

It would be nice if there was at least an effort to TRY something new on the gameday experience front. Even if it fails, just showing that there was thought and effort put into it. Maybe it's hiring a couple food trucks for Basketball games to give people an option outside of the Colossal dog and a pretzel. Maybe it's a light show during a long TV timeout. Where did the tree go? Why is the band only 10-15 people?

The Cowboy hat idea last night is an example of that. There should be more. How many were given out, like 200? Why not give out 600?

I've been going to Maples and Football games for 25 years now and they feel the exact same as they did in 2010, possibly even worse

Stanford and Silicon Valley is known to be the innovation capital of the entire world. Why does the Stanford Athletics gameday experience feel like a 1990's Macintosh computer?

End of rant. And to reiterate I did have a good time last night.
