So my folks moved to a retirement home and were basically limited to Comcast. I set up their Xfinity package and just added the "Sports Entertainment Package" that was supposed to include Pac-12 Networks. We couldn't see any TV channels for Pac-12, spent a while on phone and found out it wasn't available in our area (Charlottesville, VA).
I figured, though, we could get it on the internet and I could always broadcast it to a TV set. But for some reason, it wouldn't let us login. Meanwhile the Xfinity account page is not reflecting our package changes. Online chat for an hour or so and service rep says he's fixed it and should be refreshed some time in near future. Flash forward two weeks to let their databases settle down -- still no go. Today, spent another couple of hours in online chat with escalating idiots asking me to do things that were obviously not pertinent to issue. Finally got to highest level where they informed us the web app is tied to the set-top box, and if you can't get the TV channel on the set-top box, you can't get it on the web app. They then transferred me to muzak for about ten minutes to cancel that package before I hung up. Comcast service really really sucks, and I can't wait until Google or some other Silicon Valley company puts them out of business. Every time I log into their account page, a popup asks me if I'm moving and there's no box to prevent future attempts.
