I am at a bit of a loss here with the NFL. There are teams in the NFL who are frankly desperate at the QB position (NY Giants, Browns, Steelers, Colts, Saints?) and Davis Mills does not seem to be getting even a chance to compete for a starting position.
As a Stanford fan I'm sure I'm biased here, but when he has played in live NFL action he has looked largely calm, composed, making the right reads, delivering the ball, etc.
His numbers don't blow you away, but are respectable -- 35 TD to 25 INT, 63% completion percentage
It seems like teams are closer to giving Jameis Winston or a hobbled Kirk Cousins an opportunity than giving Mills a chance
What gives?
