David Shaw announced after practice Monday that KJ Costello is out for the UCLA game. As you’d expect, Costello didn’t dress for practice today, although I didn’t see any protective gear on his right hand.
Davis Mills is questionable and bordering on doubtful, according to Shaw. Mills also didn’t dress but was not wearing a brace on his left leg. Stanford has a walk through tomorrow. Mills will be evaluated again and they may have him run around a bit on Wednesday before making a final call.
So, right now the best bet is on Jack West getting his first career start.
