Because summer college league teams carry ~20 pitchers and don’t allow high pitch counts, our pitchers’ summer league baseball stats aren’t yet meaningful. Palisch got rocked in a brief experience and Eric Miller wasn’t sharp in his, but it's still wait and see.

On the hitter’s side, the news has ranged from great to god awful, whatever that means.

Andrew Daschbach (Yarmouth/Dennis, Cape Cod): .367/.484/.673 Tied with ASU’s Spencer Torkelson for most extra base hits (nine), out-performing Cal’s Andrew Vaughn.
Kyle Stowers (Falmouth, Cape Cod): .291/.316/.491Nick Bellafronto (Charlottesvlle, Valley): .214/.450/.357
Christian Robinson (Rochester, Northwoods): .277/.346/.404 Started hot.
Tim Tawa (Newport, New England Collegiate): .250/.280/.375 Still not drawing walks.
Nick Brueser (Eau Claire, Northwoods): .220/.291/.290
Brandon Wulff (Brewster, Cape Cod): .194/.324/.258
Maverick Handley (Falmouth, Cape Cod); .179/.294/.286
Nickolas Oar (Charlottesivllle, Valley): .238./.333./.238
Christian Molfetta (Brewster, Cape Cod): .103/.212/.103

Will Matthiesen (Harwich, Cape Cod): 0-13 hitting; 4 innings pitched, 3 hits, one earned run, one walk, 3 Ks’

Several incoming Stanford freshman are playing for San Mateo’s summer league team, the PUF Capitalists. (The team name is not meant ironically, it seems.) Brandon Dieter is hitting second, a sign he could hit lead off--the biggest batting order spot coach needs to fill--while taking over Nico Hoerner’s spot at shortstop.
