less than really good pitching and lack of hitting consistency against a higher rated (justly so) Mississippi State team just didn't get it done... hate to think of what might have happened without Little tonight... would have been a lot uglier
our starting pitching in both games simply didn't get it done... and tonight the hitting after Stower's lead off HR, basically non-existent.
Miss St far the better team... none should be complaining about our seed...we were just Beat by a far better team... with talent that came through
classy move by Esquer keeping the guys waiting there on the field nevertheless while the Miss St Bulldogs in file rounded the walls of the entire field for that 360 circuit tour exchanging high fives with the entire crowd lining the walls of the stands... taking over 7 minutes +...
no problem with them doing that, but I do have a problem with them making our guys have to stand there waiting... IMHO the Bulldogs should have waited on that high five tour til after the handskake/fistpump congratulatory exchange which should have happened right after their dogpile... perhaps the stadium tour was spontaneous/unthinking, but IMHO poor form nonetheless... I put that right on their Coaches, can't blame the kids
but life does go on... and at least we got that far... and Miss State fans are a tremendous asset to that team
