As expected, Joshua Pakola made his commitment to Stanford public Thursday. I’m at Saint Francis and will have a story posted as soon as possible. Pakola is admitted to Stanford and has been helping the staff bring this class together for many months already. Stanford led for the four star from the moment they offered and that position has not changed for more than a year. Pakola is technically still an OLB on Stanford’s board but based on what I’ve heard from several sources it’s all but certain he’ll be a defensive end/defensive tackle in Stanford’s 3-4.
Even though most fans have assumed for a long time that Pakola will be in the class it’s still exciting for Stanford that it’s public. He’s a great get and along with Stephen Herron forms a pass rush duo that should make Lance Anderson and Diron Reynolds wear big smiles when the freshmen arrive next June.
