Observations:
* As a reminder, I only include marks that meet a certain minimum threshold so as to exclude outlier low marks that might result from somebody not having run very much track or from somebody competing in an event on a lark. As an example, I excluded a 54.74 400 for Slocum as a sophomore. I probably should have excluded the Wyrick hurdle time on the same basis, but hurdle times are relatively rare for us to get and I thought it would be useful to have that data point going forward (and evidence of his slowness is not something anomalous to hurdles). The Weselman triple jump would normally be in this category, but I figure leaping ability like that for a kicking specialist would interest folks. I included the poor Leyrer discus because he's competed in a decent amount of those events and just doesn't stand out in it.
* The biggest story is the strength joining the roster. Uke is one strong kid. Wow. Uke and Buckey can join Bragg, Nugent, and Phillips in a pretty serious throwing competition. Armitage put some decently significant heft behind the shot put by sophomore standards. Lukrich has plenty of strength for a fullback.
* Slocum and Ellis are not standout athletes but appear competitive for Stanford DBs. Wyrick has evident speed issues.
