Apparently he did interview with Muir. But Muir went with Taylor. Has some past ties with the Wildcats.

Brent Brennan set to leave San Jose State for Arizona’s head coaching job
Brennan was a graduate assistant under Dick Tomey at Arizona, and the Wildcats pursued him in 2020 before going with Jedd Fisch.
