With the Portal and Money now involved it seems that the leadership structure for major sports should be reconsidered. Something more along the lines of the NFL with a GM and head coach. My sense right now is that there is probably too much on the head coach at most schools to really do the whole program justice. The head coach as director of football operations, and another biz/football guru to manage candidates, "acquisition: and "salaries" with input from the head coach? Those more in the know about how things are currently structured might have more insight. Thoughts?
