Not that some of you haven't hinted at this.
But given their head coach, why do we assume USC will be terrifyingly good?
You'd assume a good coach with five years at Washington-and with an ace recruiter (Tosh Lupoti), a coveted defensive coordinator (Justin Wilcox), and one of the biggest home field advantages in college football-would have a record that suggests he can build something.
He should have won, no?
No. His five year Pac-12 record: 4-5, 5-4, 5-4, 5-4, 5-4.
It's not like those teams were horribly outmanned. During one stretch, they had Bishop Sankey, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Shaq Thompson, Denny Shelton, Marcus Peters, and Hau'oli Kikaha. And Kasem Williams and Sean Parker. And Keith Price was dangerous and had some talent, but Sark-a the forrmer QB and QB coach-oversaw what seemed to be very little progress from him.
Ok, he may not be the next Lane Kiffin, who gave us comfort he could lose to us almost singlehandedly. But is Sark any good-at all?
And given USC's history of underperforming, is a head coach with his own history of underperformance going to do any better, other than to sometimes snatch defeat from victory's teeth?
