Apparently Ted Miller asked Shaw about giving up play-calling responsibilities. Here's the response, via a Tweet from Jon Wilner:

Yeah, like Wilner said, having Andrew Luck as your QB makes a difference. If you have to go back FOUR YEARS to find an offensive performance to hang your hat on, then you should take a long hard look in the mirror.
Also, we scored 34 points in regulation against USC, then 22 in OT. Makes a bit of a difference when you get the ball placed in the red zone to begin your drive.
