This is a 2020 Kicker recruit Jake Siebert who doubles as a WR and also plays Catcher and Outfield on his baseball team. Turns out his 64 and 68 yard field goals in regionals qualified him for showcase camps in Las Vegas this weekend and Atlanta next weekend.
Since he's going to miss a game or two (they may not even make the playoffs) his baseball coach booted him off the team. He's going to the camp to try and secure a $200k scholarship. Can't say I blame the kid. He has a 4.0 and has been invited to Stanford camp.
It turns out the AD told the baseball coach he's not welcome back after a meeting to discuss the situation.
What would you guys do? Play the baseball game or go get your scholarship? Reminds me of the track coach getting pissed off for Jesse going on a skiing trip on his senior year spring break. Jesse jammed his wrist and couldn't throw when he came back.
