Converting on 3rd and 7 or more, passing or scrambling
Luck (’10) 25-52
Luck (’11) 18-42
Goff 19-48
Boykin 17-46
Mariota (’13) 19-54
Mariota (’14) 22-66
Falk 19-58
Newton (’10) 19-58
Kessler 14-46
Hogan (’15) 12-43
Mayfield 12-47
Dalton (’09) 14-60
Hogan (’14) 13-60
Watson 6-34
I’m not sure what we can conclude about this, other than that Luck was in a class by himself; that Goff has been much more effective than Watson, for whatever reason; and that by this metric, Hogan belongs in a discussion of the nations’ top ten QBs--and is experiencing, of course, a much improved season.
P.S. And that Falk is going to be very good.
