A team that plays defense as hard as Stanford doesn't have an effort problem or lack the willingness to fight. That's not the issue with this team. On Saturday the Cardinal got arguably its best win of the Jerod Haase era because they didn't give up, adjusted at halftime to shut down Oregon's drives -- or at least make it much more difficult to finish -- and finally enough offense materialized to get the win.

Linked below is my story.

Oscar da Silva got going early and that's really important for him. He was superb with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Tyrell Terry made the most important shots and Bryce Wills made plays on both ends in the final minutes.

Lukas Kisunas and Isaac White were huge off the bench. The energy that they both provided went beyond their combined 17 points.

The bench is really short and has gotten shorter as certain players have played their way out of minutes. Jaiden Delaire appeared to be a coach's decision not to play and that was a loud statement on his current standing.
