Because Colorado has played four non-conference games, and against remarkably weak teams, I’m comparing their statistics with Stanford’s for the two team’s conference statistics only. Even in that scheduling, however, Colorado has been fortunate; they’ve played only one of the six Pac-12 teams, UCLA, ranked in Sagarin’s top 30, while Stanford has played three: #7 USC, #22 Washington, and UCLA.

Pass yards/attempt gained/allowed
Stanford 10.0 - 6.9
Colorado 6.9 - 7.8

Rushing yards/attempt gained.allowed
Stanford 5.6 - 4.35
Colorado 3.2 - 5.8

Third down conversions made/allowed
Stanford 50% - 36%
Colorado 33% - 47%
