For anyone who missed it, D1Baseball now predicts Stanford will be the No. 3 national seed. Count me happily proven wrong about how much ground Stanford could make up in the past couple weeks, with the help of some other teams stumbling off course.
They guess that we'd have UC Santa Barbara, Ole Miss and Long Beach in the regional. Ole Miss has several good wins this season and swept then No. 9 LSU. They also beat No. 11 Southern Miss. the same week (this was two weeks ago). I'm not sure I like them as a No. 3 in the region for the No. 3 national seed. Santa Barbara is a top-20 team and Ole Miss has shown it's plenty capable of knocking off top-10 teams.
