Just firing up the game hub right now. Not gonna do a normal preview, so this will have to suffice. Stanford men’s basketball plays at Cal on Saturday at 1:00 PM PT on ACC Network to open ACC play.
Of course, how former Stanford player Andrej Stojakovic does will be interesting to see. I expect him to play well and be fired up.
I also expect Maxime Raynaud and Jaylen Blakes to play well. Both veteran guys know how to play well in a hostile environment.
The question for Stanford will be whether or not others can get going and step up. Defense also gonna be key as Cal’s offense will look to get going.
Ultimately, I expect the trend of the home teams winning to continue with this series. I think Cal wins this one rather comfortably and then I think Stanford will get even on The Farm in the new year.
I won’t be shocked if Stanford wins since Kyle Smith is a much better coach than Jerod Haase and I also think he’s a much better coach than Mark Madsen. No disrespect intended to Madsen. Smith just had a better body of work up to this point.
But that home court advantage should be great for Cal. I’ll be interested to see how this one plays out.
