Lynch didn't make it although being a finalist for the 7th year in a row.. Making it were Steve Atwater, Isaac Bruce, Steve Hutchinson, Edgerrin James and Troy Polamalu. Polamalu and Atwater are both safeties and I guess the voters didn't want 3 safeties in the class. Peyton will be eligible next year so he's a lock so maybe next year will be Lynch's year. Of the 15 finalists this year, there were 4 safeties. The other safety on the ballot was Leroy Butler of Green Bay.
A Super Bowl ring would be a nice consolation.
