I was not able to attend today's Stanford post-practice media availability due to a scheduling conflict (first and hopefully last time that will happen this season), but here's a link to Shaw's media session. Nothing super noteworthy - they'll announce starters early next week. Would imagine they'll release the pre-Northwestern depth chart on Monday or Tuesday; we'll have an opportunity to chat with the coaches about everything mid-day Tuesday.
Few notable comments.
-Stanford has shaved some time off recent practices in response to some tired legs. They'll be off this weekend (though I believe they'll get to tour the new stadium locker room tomorrow, so there will be some sort of team activity) and then get back after it on Monday.
-Kodi Whitfield is back fully healthy.
-On Devon Cajuste: "He's really close. He can run full speed right now. I don't think he could play a full game yet but he's worked extremely hard on his conditioning. I don't know what percentage he would put on it. It's going to be close. He's closer than we thought he was going to be at this point, so we'll see. Either way, Francis has played great, hopefully we get to the point where both of those guys can share that position this week and let everybody kind of play their way into game shape."
-Shaw described Northwestern's spread as kind of a mix between Oregon with the quick screens and also Cal/Washington State with some of the more vertical passing plays.
-Not discussed in the audio, but Stanford will actually be practicing in the morning next week leading up to the Northwestern game to get acclimated to the early start time.
