Michigan State's ranking is absurd. They no longer have an MSU defense--they rank 9th in the Big Ten in points allowed, 8th in yards allowed per rush, and 10th for pass efficiency defense, while ranking 6th, 11th, and 4th in those states on offense. They aren't explosive, and have a net +28 yards on punt returns per game, among other stats.
Ridiculous they are ranked that high--just as Oregon's ranking was.
