.... will be posted after Game 1 :)

But after 2 open practices I can tell you the following by numerical order:

2 Irwin - working with the bottom tier of receivers group currently. hard to believe considering you might want to get him in the mix sooner rather than later with Rector probably out game 1 and a potentially less than 100% Cajuste for the entirety of a game early on. Nice player. Really good player. Not exactly what I dream a 5* player being though.

6 Owusu - the time is now for him. The hype has never transitioned to the field until yesterday. He looked like a legitimate stud. Would be fabulous to have 3 years of this guy left. Oh well, I digress already....

9 Edwards - was hoping he would be a little heavier to have an immediate impact but the current player is still pretty good. The closer to LOS the better right now. Hard to entrust him as the last line of defense. Envision his shirt burned on ST.

9 Schultz - body is much improved from the spring and looks great. Will be a significant part of the game plan from here on out.

10 Chryst - Not exceptional at anything right now. Absence of Crower should expedite the progress moving forward. Wouldn't be the end of the world if 8 went down, but I don't think he is ready to win any shoot outs either.

13 Holder - long, technician. Seems to always be in a good spot.

17 Burns - the tools are still loud but this is year 3 now and it should look much better.

17 Scarlett - Godsend. Looks like an athletic TE. Will play outside the guards. Pushes Watkins and Lohn off the field to complete a serviceable DL with 7, 66 and 90. Can he play an entire season?

19 Whiteside - nice player. Should be a contributor in year 2.

20 Love - whoa. Just insert all the things we were saying about CMac last year right here. So the challenge will be for Bloom/Shaw to get him in the mix creatively, make sure Schultz is included, get Irwin on the field ASAP.....

22 Reid - really thin needs to shirt.

23 Murphy - solid player. Ready to be in the mix with 13 and 21

24 Meeks - Not in love with the player just yet at CB. Might be able to make more of an impact at nickel. Really really long and should be fine down the road.

25 Scarlett - needs a great year of s/c.

27 Barton - see 25 above

29 Lloyd - doesn't ever flash but who else is going to play right now. Time will tell I guess.

32 Alfieri - Coming along fine. Sure would be interesting alongside Martinez. He will be the 3rd OLB.

34 Kalambayi - most talented defender on the roster.

44 Palma - a little better than Tarp going straight ahead. Far worse going backward.

52 Toohill - see 25 and 27

56 Annan - like the skill set here. Conditioning will need to improve greatly. Contributor next year.

Second half of the roster coming later.....
