First, some numbers for you.
Here is what the defensive reps looked liked last night:
DL - SHITTU(63 snaps); SCARLETT(56); THOMAS(55)
These 3 guys played great again. Shittu was especially good. He is playing at a level I could not have imagined just 2 years ago.
OLB - ANDERSON(60); ALFIERI (57); KALAMBAYI (50); TYLER (7)
And, as usual, MARTINEZ and all of the starting DB's - including MEEKS - went the distance.
Arrows are mostly unchanged from last week.
ARROW UP
IRWIN - Gets the start for CAJUSTE and also all of his packages. Really difficult adjustment for the staff when you lose a guy on game day, or close to it. ONE target and also drew ONE defensive holding penalty.
ALEXANDER - 7 snaps in dime.
PEREZ - Goes the distance (save 1 play due to injury) next to Blake after the PALMA injury.
ANDERSON - Back healthy and leading the OLB group in reps.
ARROW DOWN
T. THOMAS, MURPHY, REID, EDWARDS - WSU threw it 61 times. Doesn't look great for these 4 moving forward. Although I thought HOLDER played poorly. His worst game.
BAILEY - Lifted for Conrad on KO's
OKEREKE - Big red flag.
SANDERS - Didn't see the field.
LOHN - Didn't see the field. I promise.
TABOADA - ONE snap. With CAJUSTE out, ZERO 3 TE sets. Head scratcher.
