ARROW UP

  • IRWIN - Only 3 snaps but 2 big targets. Dude is money and a huge 3rd and medium weapon.
  • RECTOR - He was on the field, just not in the "game plan"
  • MARTINEZ - Had issues at times in coverage, missed a gimme sack, but undoubtably the heart of this defense.
  • McCAFFREY - Interestingly does everything but stay on the field in 2:00 offense.
  • WHITFIELD - Hard to see him as a high draft pick as hulk and his scouts suggested before the season but he is hanging in there OK.
  • OWUSU - I may have been too hard on him. It's a run-first offense and he isn't one of the top 5 options. On the field a lot just not targeted. Maybe the big catch gives everyone more confidence.
  • SHITTU - Playing with a good motor so far.
  • SCHULTZ - Involved more in the passing game. Rarely leaves the field.
  • HOLDER - Didn't start for the first time this year but played his normal 50%.
  • PEREZ - Still next to Martinez half of the time.
  • SCARLETT - Fingers crossed this guy finally stays healthy.
  • HOOPER - Is it too early to start wondering.....?
  • LOVE - Effectively used as a decoy in only 3rd game of career. That's when you know you have arrived.
  • BRANDT-SIMMS- Good news first. He was on the field for 2 plays specifically designed for his speed even after the whiff last week. Bad news. Hogan was sacked twice waiting for some separation.
  • HARRIS - Holding is own against bigger. Gotta love this guy.
  • WRIGHT - 3RD down, short-yardage and 2:00 were all really good last night.
  • MURPHY - Gets first college start and his normal 50%.
  • MEEKS - Every NB snap for the last two weeks.
  • LLOYD - Plays every snap again. How fast can Akina get Edwards ready?
  • ALFIERI - OLB3 giving the starters breaks and making some plays.
  • KALAMBAYI - Beast. Do yourself a favor and key on him covering kicks.
  • MARX - Big part of the game plan. His skill is not a good match with this OL but solid job inside. Memories of last year's SC game almost forgotten.
  • PALMA - Still starting next to Martinez. Interestingly on the field last night when SC was down 10 with 2:30 left. As I have mentioned before though, no sub packages for Lance.
  • ANDERSON - The usual.
  • BRIGHT - Thought he would be used more at OG when I saw him wearing 64, but things were going well enough for Bloom to not warrant the change. Nonetheless, over 20 snaps in jumbo.
  • DAVIDSON - Has found his role with about a dozen snaps in jumbo.
  • CAJUSTE - Looks fine and on the field a lot. Needs to be better quite honestly.
  • THOMAS - Doing the dirty work inside. Right on track.
ARROW DOWN

  • SIMMONS- I would just like to see him flash on ST once.
  • ALEXANDER - The coaches job is to recruit over the current players on the roster.
  • TYLER, M. - Nothing. Alomar not even going with him on ST. Huge off-season for him and Turley.
  • FANAIKA - Follows up with a DNP after first action last week.
  • WATKINS - He is the roster's poster child for not going all-in on recruiting profiles. Does he get a 5th year?
  • TABOADA - One snap.
  • KAUMATULE - Nothing once again.
Going to start downsizing this segment moving forward. Changes will be mentioned but there is no reason to keep guys like Martinez and Alexander on their respective lists as that is most likely not going to change. In fact, the Arrow Down list could have had others but there was no change.
