ARROW UP

TYLER - After not taking a snap last week vs Ducks, he starts the 2nd half and gets some reps.

Taking advantage of other's misfortune:
ALEXANDER/MURPHY - Time share at first for Harris turns into full-time gig when Holder goes down.

HARRELL - Steps in for Marx

ARROW DOWN

TABOADA - I wonder if he has started to look around for year 5 yet?

SANDERS - 1 carry early to let him know the coaches were sorry for leaving him out last week.

  • Connor Crane saw his first action (1 play) in a game that wasn't in the 4th quarter. Clear indication he won't be back. Was actually open but Hogan decided to throw late down the middle to Hooper.
  • Dykes had some(5) decisions that could easily be second guessed last night. Let me remind you that he has a defense that ranked anywhere from 75-102 nationally depending on what type of metric you want to go with. He was facing one of the most efficient offenses in the country so kicking FG's probably isn't going to be a great idea. However........
1. 4TH and goal from the 3 down 7-0 in the 1ST Q - DECISION: FG
2. 4TH and 3 from the 11 down 14-3 1:00 before HALF - DECISION: FG
3. 4TH and 2 from the 8 down 21-6 12:00 left in 3RD Q - DECISION: FG
4. 4th and 7 from the STANFORD 38 DOWN 35-16 5:00 LEFT IN THE GAME - DECISION: P-U-N-T :p
5. DOWN 35-22 1:44 left IN THE GAME, Dykes has 1 TO and needs to get the ball back. CAL is kicking off - DECISION: KICK IT DEEP!!! :D:D
