1. We really miss Tarpley. We've got a huge hole next to Martinez.
2. Shaw has no 2 minute offense. Our 6 minute 4th quarter drive was pathetic....huddling up after each play...no sense of urgency.
3. Bloomgren is overloaded. He can't be the OC AND coach all 5 OL spots. This just isn't working and there's no fixing it now that the season on. We need an OT/TE coach with Bloomgren handling the interior triangle OC/OG.
4. We looked slow on both sides of the ball. Especially our Offense versus NW defense.
5. Harrison Phillips looked very good until he got hurt. Huge loss if he's out for any length of time.
6. Don't know what Rector did but missing the 1st half changed our play calling. No deep ball to stretch the defense.
7. Scarlett played very well.
8. Our coaches need to shut up about Murphy and Garnett. Shaw called both 1st round draft choices last Fall. Bloomgren called them All Americans this preseason. Neither, especially Garnett, deserve this kind of hype. Let them show it on the field.
9. Per someone who was at the game behind our bench, we looked dead emotionally. No fire, no energy. Don't know if that's on the players, the coaches, or both... but it's gotta change.
