1. If you had told me that we would play 5 games and lose one, there's no way that I would have expected that our one loss would be Williams' start. 2 shaky outings in a row.
2. I thought Esquer had a secret master plan for the pitching rotation. I've concluded that, to the contrary, he's throwing darts at the roster card.
3. Texas State's starters were really solid for each game. Yesterday 7 innings, 1 earned run, 1 walk, 9 SO.
4. We discussed this before it started but I don't understand the teams in our regional. In the last coaches' poll before the post season. Texas State was 14 and UCSB was 21. That makes no sense. Good news is that UConn was 28.
5. Amazing hitting by the bottom of the order.
