Here's the first of several post-Pro Day interviews.
Video of Peat's conversation with the media is linked below.
Additionally, here's a transcript:
Thoughts on the day...
"It was good. It was a little warm today, but it was good. I felt like I showed some stuff I wanted the scouts and coaches to see."
Like what?
"Just like footwork and some pass pro stuff and my punch. I had a lot of different drills I went through."
On leaving school early
"It was definitely a tough decision. I talked to Coach Shaw about it and I felt like I was ready to take that next step and kind of take that next big challenge."
On graduation plans
"I'm definitely going to graduate. I'm actually going to be taking classes in the spring and chipping away that and then coming back whenever I can to take classes."
On scout feedback
"It's kind of hard to tell right now where I'm going. I'm going to meet with some more coaches and do some private workouts. Maybe in a few more weeks I can get a better idea of where I'm going to be drafted."
On the draft process
"It's kind of what I expected. It's always really busy. The combine, all day you're doing activities and medical stuff and whatnot. I just try to enjoy it, the whole process."
On Chris Borland's decision to retire early
"I mean, that's his decision. Me personally, I love the game of football and I want to play as long as I can."
More guys retiring early in the future?
"I'm not really sure, to be honest. It's kind of something I've never seen."
