You need 4 starters and very likely a 5th.
Do you start Williams on Wednesday and have him available for Sunday if needed? That might make sense. But I'm thinking if we can't beat ASU with someone else, we've got no chance against stronger teams.
If it goes 5 games and you don't start Williams twice, where are we going to find 5 starters?
Leaving aside whether Matthews actually starts, we know that Williams, Matthews and Dixon will get the most innings. Best I can tell, Dowd has to be the man.
And I would start Dowd against ASU. That gives us the best chance of winning in 4.
If we get to/have to go to Sunday, possibly Montgomery. Probably Uber. The good news is every other team has a 5 starter problem.
